We Are Difference Makers

How are we making a difference?

Skilled Trades Training

We work to offset the trades labour shortage through paid construction training for people with barriers to employment.

Our program participants are given hands-on training by working one-on-one with our highly skilled team in a supportive learning environment that prepares them for a successful career in the trades.

Employment

A supportive, flexible, and certified Living Wage employer. We are committed to making Community Builders the best place to work!

Work is the thing we do most in our lives so we strive to create the best possible experience for our staff and Trainees.

Housing

We’re renovating community housing units, building affordable housing, and adding to Ontario’s rental supply through innovative projects.

We are highly skilled general contractors that can take on your project and deliver more than just renovations – we are Building with Purpose!

Community Project, Renovations, Second Suites

“I trust Community Builders for my renovation projects because I know I can count on their quality, service and professionalism. Let’s face it, no property owner enjoys spending money. But when I hire Community Builders, I know I’m paying fair market prices for services I need, while also giving back to the community I love.”

Kelly Duggan

“I am so thrilled to have worked with Community Builders over the last year to create this one of a kind home in Barrie. This house was designed, planned, executed, and delivered almost entirely on time despite the pandemic by Community Builders and we could not have been more pleased with the work they did.”

Heather Morgan

“Working with Community Builders was an incredibly positive experience! The renovation was done on time and within the cost estimate. I had such a great time working with them, I left my job to join their team! I love knowing my Second Suite is helping to add affordable housing to the community”

DJ Stansfield

“I’ve only been here an hour, and it already feels like home”

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’m not just a supporter of CB — I’m also a customer.

We recently worked with CB Muskoka on a project at Deerhurst Resort. The scope was relatively small but logistically challenging. Coordinating multiple trades in the area can be difficult, and managing five separate vendors would have required multiple four-hour round trips just to provide access and supervision.

CB handled the entire scope — carpentry, repairs, drywall, painting, fixture relocation, appliances, moving, cleaning, even laundry — with one organized, professional team. They were courteous, experienced, and genuinely committed to going above and beyond.

The results were excellent. They saved us hundreds in travel costs and reduced the project timeline by weeks. For multi-trade, detail-driven jobs that are often the hardest to coordinate, CB delivers real value.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. They were on budget, and for the most part on time (5 weeks for a projected 4 week project). Work was excellent quality, changes were easy, and anything we questioned, they addressed it right away. Can't recommend them enough.
